Ice Skate Guernsey is a partnership between The Guernsey Event Company and Blue Diamond Group with a 20 x 20 metre, custom made ice rink installed under cover at Le Friquet Garden Centre.
The entire event is designed, specified, built and operated in-house. December 2017 saw over 15,000 skaters take to the ice and over 100,000 people walk through the doors of Le Friquet.
A massive undertaking as the flooring is laid, generators craned in, ice is formed, the Skate Exchange – home for over 400 pairs of skates in varying sizes – is erected, staff are trained and a winter wonderland is created for everyone who wants to experience the joyous feeling of skating on ice as the festivities of Christmas of approach.

The Guernsey Air Display will return to the skies of St Peter Port on Thursday 12 September 2019
With the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight displaying alongside modern aircraft including kit built planes there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Become a Friend of the Guernsey Air Display
The Friends of was set up in 2012 and at just £15 per person is an affordable way for members of the public to get involved with and show their support for the Air Display.
Membership includes a bespoke enamel Friend of pin badge, your name listed in the official souvenir programme on the Friends of page and the opportunity to win VIP tickets to a reception at Castle Cornet to watch the Display.

Consortium membership and becoming a Corporate Friend
The vast majority of the Air Display is funded by a consortium of local businesses, taking packages at a bronze, silver or gold level and businesses who become Corporate Friends of the Display.
Consortium packages include advertising, inclusion in the official programme and on the website and the opportunity to entertain clients and/or staff at the Consortium reception at Castle Cornet while watching the Display. For full details please click here.

A fantastic finale to the Guernsey summer, the event prides itself on showcasing the wealth of musical talent we have on Guernsey with performances from the Guernsey Symphony Orchestra, Guernsey Symphonic Winds, Bel Canto, Let’s Swing Band, Guernsey Jazz Orchestra and Les Chansonelles over the years; as well as celebrating the best of British with live coverage of the second half of the Last Night of the Proms.

The 30th annual conference of the Red Ensign Group was held in Guernsey in June 2018 and is an opportunity to share best practise and discuss matters of interest.
The Red Ensign Group is comprised of the United Kingdom, Crown Dependencies (Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey) and UK Overseas Territories (Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, St Helena and the Turks & Caicos Islands) which operate shipping registers.
The GEC worked with the Registry of British Ships and the States of Guernsey Harbour office on all aspects of the conference including local transfers, hotel accommodation, conference logistics and a programme of social events for the 94 attending delegates across all of their member countries.
The GEC worked with the States of Guernsey on all aspects involved in the planning and delivery of the British Irish Council meeting at the St Pierre Park Hotel in June 2018.
The British Irish Council meets twice a year in one of the member jurisdictions. Attending politicians included Rt Hon David Liddington, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office; Rt Hon Karen Bradley, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland; Rt Hon Nicola Stugeon, First Minister of Scotland; Carwyn Jones, First Minister of Wales; and Leo Varadkar, Taoiseach
This was the fifth BIC Summit The GEC has worked on following the Guernsey Summits in 2011 and 2014 and Jersey in 2013 and 2017.
