Chamber of Commerce Dinner 2012
The Guernsey Event Company has worked with the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce since 2010 to organise their Annual Dinner. Moving the event from St. James’ Concert Hall to the St. Pierre Park Hotel has allowed the event to grow to over 330 people. Demand for places is now so high tables are selling out within two weeks of going on sale!
For the 2012 event, kindly sponsored by Price Bailey and Montagu Evans, guests had the pleasure of listening to the expertise of John Kay.
John Kay is a visiting Professor of Economics at LSE, a director of several public companies, a weekly columnist in the Financial Times and author of several books. Most recently he chaired the Review of the ‘UK Equity Markets and Long-Term Decision-Making due to the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills’ in July 2012.
The 2012 dinner held a raffle that raised over £3000 in funds for the charity Grow Limited.
In previous years we have been very fortunate to have secured two excellent speakers in Jon Moulton and Guy Hands, both of whom have been able to offer an insight into the challenges that economies across the World face, together with their experience of how these challenges have and will impact Guernsey. As well as raising over £3,000 for The Guernsey Disability Alliance and Burns Unit Group Support (B.U.G.S.) through generous donations at the two events.
Attended by a broad range of companies representing the large membership of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, the annual dinner is a combination of thought provoking speakers alongside a relaxing and entertaining evening.
