The 2017 Guernsey Chamber of Commerce Dinner introduced a new format with an exciting line up of speakers and panel experts.
The headline address came from Will Walden, who up until the 23rd June 2016 was the Chief of Communications and Policy Advisor for Boris Johnson. Joining Will on stage was Dr Adam Marshall, the Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce. The event also hosted an expert panel of Guernsey Chamber Members for an interactive session where dinner guests had the opportunity to have their say.
Enshrined in the constitution of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce is the principle that its president – Martyn Dorey please stand up – can call upon all members to challenge Chamber to remain a true voice of its members and the business community of the island. Martyn continued to manifest this challenge by moderating a panel of Guernsey Chamber members to take questions from attending guests. This was an opportunity for attendees to ask questions that are relevant to either their business sector or to Guernsey overall.
One evening, two hundred plus like-minded spirits, two interesting and entertaining speakers, five panellists to take your questions all wrapped up in convivial conversation, great food and quality wines: an evening that was shaken but definitely not stirred
