Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations 2012
Tuesday 5th June 2012 will mark the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to Queen. On this day, Her Majesty from her Coronation in 1952 will have sat for 60 glorious years on the throne as the Queen of England. This Jubilee is only the second time an English Monarch has enjoyed a Diamond Anniversary and the last sixty years have witnessed extraordinary developments and achievements.
To celebrate such a landmark milestone many events will be held from the beginning of May through to early July. The Island Parishes have kindly taken up the responsibility of organising and hosting various community days and legacy projects over this period and due to this the celebrations will be a true expression of a community coming together.
The details of all of the dedicated Queen’s Diamond Jubilee events can be found on www.guernseydiamondjubilee.com.
The Guernsey Event Company will be working with St. Peter Port Parish to create a fun-filled family day at Cambridge Park. The park will be overwhelmed with children’s entertainment including the ever popular Big Kidz giant inflatables and Crafty Arty Parties with ‘Kings and Queens’ theme fun for an enjoyable day for all the family.
